Desmira Bell

A confident, clever, and dry-humoured woman of middle age. Crippled by a former injury she sustained as a soldier, she now walks with a cane.

She is the original proprietor of The Broken Cask inn and tavern. The building in Durrow where the inn is now located was purchased for Desmira by Landuin of Gondor, older brother to Oendir Arrowheart. Desmira hired on young Rosie Locksley as the inn's cook, and later handed over the deed to the inn to her. They are now close friends, and Desmira visits the Cask whenever she is able.
